Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Children's Program (Overnight)
Location: Poughkeepsie, NY
Schedule: Sunday–Wednesday, 10:15 PM – 8:15 AM
Ethan Allen Workforce Solutions is seeking a compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide overnight support for children with intellectual, physical, and developmental disabilities in a residential setting. This position is covering a leave of absence and offers the potential for permanent placement within one of the residences on campus.
As a DSP, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of residents while promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Paid Orientation Required: August 3–14, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Attendance at orientation is required prior to starting the overnight schedule.
Responsibilities:

• Monitor and support residents throughout the overnight shift
• Assist with resident needs as they arise during the night
• Complete laundry and light housekeeping duties
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment
• Complete required documentation and daily reports
• Follow individualized care plans and support strategies
• Communicate effectively with staff during shift changes
• Ensure the safety, well-being, and comfort of residents at all times
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• HS Diploma
• Must successfully complete the client's OPWDD background screening process, including fingerprinting and required clearances
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform the physical demands of the position
