Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Chicago, Illinois. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Operating Room Nurse in Chicago, Illinois. This position involves providing perioperative nursing care within a level II neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and other surgical specialties. The role requires the ability to circulate in ENT and orthopedic procedures and work effectively within a fast-paced hospital environment. Job Details Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting from 09/14/2026. Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS certification, 2 years of OR experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with circulating in ENT and orthopedic surgeries, scrub experience. Float: Support within the department may require floating to various units around the facility based on needs, including for roles such as CST, Surgical Assist, Anesthesia Tech. Support within the Department: Unit secretary, charge nurse may also take assignments, resource nurses, RT 24/7, hospitalist 24/7, intensivist 24/7. Technology/Equipment: EPIC electronic medical records system, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, scrub colors provided, parking is free. Orientation: Hospital orientation plus one shift on the unit. Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: General, GYN, Urology, ENT, Vascular, spinal, dental, complex cases. Additional Information: Candidates must be able to circulate in ENT and orthopedic procedures, support varied surgical needs, and be available for scheduled on-call, holiday, and weekend rotations as required, including call duties 2-3 times per week and one weekend call per month.
