Shift: Mon-Fri, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM + Call evening and weekends. Standard 30-min response time. On call one evening a week (3p to 7a) and 2 Saturdays or Sundays a month (7a to 7a)

Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room (OR) will work Monday to Friday with call duties and will require experience in cardiovascular (CV), robotics, and general surgery including the use of DaVinci and Mako robots. Strong background in various specialties is required for circulating and floating duties between campuses.

Responsibilities:

• Circulate in all specialties, including Cardiovascular, Neuro, Ortho, General, and additional specialties such as Eyes, Endo, and Cysto.
• Care for patients in Acute Care Setting using MEDITECH charting system.
• Participate in the call rotation schedule with the ability to respond within the standard 30-minute timeframe.
• Potentially serve as a preceptor as needed by the unit.

Requirements:

• MUST have experience with robotic surgery and circulate CABGs; scrubbing experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with Craniotomies, Ortho trauma, DaVinci robot, and various other procedures listed under additional specialties.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA).
• More than 4 years of hospital OR experience is preferred.
• Not to have been directly employed by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity, in the past year.
