Assembler

Overview The Assembler at Cook Vandergriftis responsible for following procedures for product assembly/fabrication, cleaning, packaging, labeling, equipment operation and safety requirements as documented in the company's quality system. Responsibilities Read, understand and follow specifications for product being manufactured Fabricate raw materials into specified products using various mechanical and/or manual techniques Perform various inspections and/or testing as required Accurate completion of necessary documentation Follow all quality system documents Report to work punctually and as scheduled Perform fine manipulative processes, using a microscope/micro forge,video screen, and/or other equipment for the majority of the day, seatedand/or standing at a workstation Perform work in a Controlled Environment with special gowning/clothing and hygiene requirements Perform various computer functions Perform routine maintenance on certain machinery used in production Provide training of production personnel Assist in introducing new or improved products into production Provide input to supervisor/manager to improve department operation andefficiency Identify and report possible preventative and corrective actions Qualifications Must have a high school diploma or GED Must pass a post-offer physical exam and drug screening Ability to read, write and understand product documentation andspecification drawings Have the written skills to accurately complete paperwork Ability to use measuring devices and gauges Perform basic math skills and applications including addition, subtraction, multiplication anddivision including the ability to understand decimals Basic computer entry/retrieval skills Must have well-developed eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity skills Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
