Jackson and Coker Locum Tenens
Jackson and Coker is seeking a Board Certified OB/GYN Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Vermont, starting August 15, 2026, and continuing ongoing. This role involves 12/24-hour call coverage to address a staffing shortage, focusing on comprehensive women's health services. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse patient population, including both low and high-risk pregnancies, and perform a variety of gynecological procedures.Practice InfoTotal beds: 7Physicians in practice: 1 full-time MD, 1 GYN MD (no call), 1 PRN MDAPP coverage: 4 CNMs (often take primary call)Exam rooms: 10Onsite lab and ultrasound availableEMR: Cerner CommunityWorksResponsibilitiesManage low-risk pregnancies, including those with a history of twins, toxemia, and pyelonephritisInterpret FHR (NST, CST, FSE)Perform and interpret OB ultrasounds, including Level I/screening (viability)Conduct routine deliveries, including vaginal, forceps, and C-section decision-makingManage complicated deliveries, including C-section, breech, multiples, and abruptionsPerform VBACs and repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerationsExecute surgical gynecology, including open procedures and laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures (tubal ligation, LOA's, chromal tubation)Perform operative and major procedures such as ectopic pregnancy, oophorectomy, cystectomy, and extensive LOA'sBenefitsTop-rated malpractice insuranceFull-service in-house travel agency and credentialing coordinators24/7 recruiter availabilityShift & ScheduleWeekday and Weekday coverage needed24 Hour Call; 8 AM - 8 AMRequirementsBoard Certified in OB/GYNCompletion of accredited OB/GYN residency (U.S. or Canada)BLS (AHA)
