About the Role

The Company is in search of a Managing Director of Development to play a pivotal role in the national growth and business development function. The successful candidate will be a strategic builder with a strong background in construction, capable of influencing multimillion and billion-dollar project pipelines and guiding enterprise growth strategy. This leadership position demands a professional who can lead and orchestrate national business development strategy, refine pipeline management processes, and build executive-level relationships with key stakeholders. The role also involves partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless execution of complex pursuit efforts and establishing performance standards across a growing development team. Applicants for the Managing Director of Development role at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience, with 10 to 20 years in the construction industry, particularly in business development, preconstruction, or project execution. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading complex pursuits, securing large-scale projects, and driving accountability for pipeline performance. Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills are essential, as is the ability to influence without authority and align diverse stakeholders. Experience in large-scale commercial or industrial construction, exposure to high-growth environments, and a background in design-build or collaborative delivery models are preferred.
