Visa sponsorship provided: No Location: Syracuse, NY Remote Status: no remote Pay Type: Annual Salary Salary: 105000-135000/US Dollars Occupational Categories: Other Industries/Categories Industry(ies): Logistics / Distribution / Wholesale About the RoleA well-established organization with a multi-site operational environment is seeking a Senior Network and Infrastructure Engineer to support the reliability, performance, and security of its enterprise network infrastructure.This is a hands-on technical role focused primarily on network administration, troubleshooting, configuration management, and ongoing infrastructure support across multiple facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with enterprise networking technologies, including switching, routing, firewalls, wireless connectivity, VPNs, VLANs, subnetting, and network segmentation.In addition to maintaining a stable and secure network environment, this individual will contribute to infrastructure improvements, cybersecurity initiatives, and technical projects supporting business operations across multiple locations. Experience supporting manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, or operational technology (OT) environments is a plus.Schedule: Monday through Friday during standard business hours, with flexibility required for occasional evening, overnight, and weekend work based on operational needs.Key ResponsibilitiesConfigure, administer, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networks, VPNs, VLANs, network circuits, and IP addressing.Diagnose and resolve complex connectivity and performance issues involving routing, wireless networks, firewall configurations, latency, packet loss, and network segmentation.Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including architecture diagrams, hardware inventories, IP addressing plans, DHCP configurations, firewall policies, circuit records, and configuration standards.Implement and maintain firewall policies, VPN connectivity, network address translation (NAT), network segmentation, and secure configuration standards.Support network connectivity across multiple facilities, including manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, and OT environments, while maintaining appropriate separation between operational and corporate systems.Coordinate network infrastructure improvements, WAN connectivity, SD-WAN administration, circuit changes, equipment replacements, vendor support, and related technical projects.Manage ISP and telecommunications circuit activities, including service provisioning, renewals, upgrades, disconnects, billing coordination, outage escalation, and recordkeeping.Assist with cybersecurity investigations, vulnerability remediation, incident response, and other security initiatives requiring network expertise.Provide support for related infrastructure services, including servers, VMware virtualization, backup operations, system patching, authentication integrations, and disaster recovery testing, as assigned.Resolve escalated service desk issues requiring advanced networking or infrastructure knowledge.Participate in planned maintenance, on-call escalation, emergency changes, and routine infrastructure upkeep.Qualifications:QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in computer science, networking, engineering, information technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.ExperienceAt least five years of progressive experience in network administration, infrastructure support, or a closely related technical field.Hands-on experience supporting enterprise network environments across multiple locations.Experience maintaining technical documentation, configuration records, network standards, and operational procedures.Experience supporting manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, or operational technology environments is preferred.Technical SkillsStrong hands-on knowledge of enterprise switching, routing, firewalls, and wireless networking.Proficiency with VPNs, VLANs, IP subnetting, network segmentation, and network troubleshooting.Familiarity with WAN connectivity, SD-WAN administration, network circuits, and ISP coordination.Working knowledge of related infrastructure technologies, including servers, VMware virtualization, backup operations, patching, and authentication integrations, is beneficial.CertificationsPreferred certifications include:Cisco CCNA or CCNPJuniper JNCIAAruba Certified ProfessionalCompTIA Network+Comparable networking certificationsSoft SkillsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.Excellent documentation and organizational skills.Effective communication and collaboration with technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and respond effectively to infrastructure issues.Willingness to participate in occasional after-hours maintenance and operational support.Why is This a Great Opportunity :Why Join Us?Competitive compensation: Annual salary range of $107,500–$138,000, along with competitive bonus programs.Benefits from day one: Medical, dental, and vision coverage available on your first day of employment.Retirement benefits: Eligibility for a 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching after 90 days.Educational support: Access to tuition reimbursement and scholarship programs.Broad technical exposure: Work across enterprise networking, cybersecurity, virtualization, and multi-site infrastructure.Meaningful impact: Play a hands-on role in maintaining secure, reliable connectivity for critical business operations.
