Software Developer Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: None Type of Travel: None Opportunity Provide software development and integration to develop, deploy and sustain current applications. Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real‑time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document test results. Resolve software problem reports and employ appropriate software development and design methodologies. Provide input to system design, including hardware/software trade‑offs, software reuse, use of COTS/GOTS, and requirements synthesis. Responsibilities Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements. Debug existing software and correct defects. Recommend improvements to documentation and software development process standards. Design, code, or modify software to add new features. Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments. Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories. Serve as team lead appropriate to the software development process being used on each project. Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries. Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards. Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components. Analyze system performance standards, collaborate with users or system engineers, and investigate problem areas. Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or improve performance. Design, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models. Implement complex algorithms requiring strict timing, resource, or interface constraints and perform quality control on team products. Oversee one or more software development teams and ensure work is completed according to the chosen development process. Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure operational specifications are met. Qualifications UI/UX architecture and frontend development background. Experience with API development. Proficiency in ReactJS. Proficiency in NodeJS. Proficiency in Java. Experience with the Spring Boot framework. Proficiency in JavaScript. Experience with Docker/Podman. Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure. Experience with MongoDB. Experience with Elasticsearch. Experience with Gradle. Fourteen (14) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of additional S',VE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
