Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Women's Services team. The unit comprises 9 Labor & Delivery (L&D) beds, 3 swing rooms, 2 operating rooms, and a 3-bed OBED, providing comprehensive care for laboring patients. The hospital emphasizes supporting patient choice and promoting vaginal birth opportunities based on individual preferences. Our team operates under a laborist model, ensuring a midwife, dedicated CRNA, and OBGYN are available on call 24/7.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to laboring patients.
• Support patient autonomy and provide personalized birthing experiences.
• Perform and assist with various procedures including circulating in the OR, IUPC placement, FSE application, and MgSO4 administration.
• Participate in couplet care in the postpartum unit to enhance bonding and breastfeeding support.
• Utilize advanced skills for patient care, including fetal monitoring and handling post-partum hemorrhage situations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications.
• Fetal monitoring competency.
• Experience with advanced skills such as Spinning Babies and STABLE is beneficial.
