Front Desk And Customer Service Support

Provides front desk and customer service support for the department. Serves as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring professional, efficient, and welcoming experience while performing administrative and clerical duties in support of daily operations.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

The following duties are representative of this position. Additional duties may be assigned. Greets visitors and directs them to appropriate staff or departments. Answers, screens, and directs incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner; responds to inquiries and takes accurate messages. Provides general information regarding City services and refers more complex inquiries to appropriate personnel. Maintains a clean, organized, and professional reception area. Receives and distributes mail, packages, and deliveries. Performs administrative support tasks such as data entry, maintaining logs, preparing correspondence, copying, scanning, and assembling materials. Utilizes office systems and standard equipment, including computers, copiers, and scanners. Assists with maintaining office and breakroom supplies. Provides support to departmental staff as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one (1) year of work experience in customer service, receptionist, or administrative support roles. A comparable amount of training or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
