Details Acute care Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting 44-bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5, possibly 1:6 CNA support available with a ratio of approximately 1:8–1:10; CNAs may also serve as sitters Telemetry monitoring is available but managed by a separate unit MEDITECH EMR in use; experience preferred but not required Day shift, 12-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) Every other weekend required Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis Floating required to other acute care areas, cardiology (for medical patients), or the EC for acute care patient holds 17-week contract Requirements Active GA or compact RN license required BLS and NIHSS certifications required (both must be AHA-issued) Minimum 2 years of RN experience required At least 1 prior travel assignment required; first‑time travelers will not be considered Driver's license required for consideration Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility (based on address on driver's license) Additional Information Orientation consists of approximately 1 week of general orientation including EMR training, followed by 2 days of floor‑specific orientation Candidates who have been employed by this facility within the last 12 months are not eligible Caribbean blue scrubs required Any RTO requests must be submitted and approved prior to the start of the assignment American Traveler Job ID #P-702785.
