Ultrasound Tech - Nights

Ultrasound Technician – Nights Schedule: Tuesday – Friday, 9:00pm – 7:30am. On‑call and holiday requirements apply as needed. Responsibilities Operate ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic examinations and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provide patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrate knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy and pathology. Provide patient care to all age groups, including neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicate effectively with staff and radiologists. Qualifications Education Graduate of an AMA‑approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or a JRCERT‑accredited hospital‑based training program – Required In lieu of a certificate, equivalent experience according to the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) – Required Work Experience No experience required – Required 1 year of experience – Preferred Licenses and Certifications BCLS – Basic Life Support Upon Hire – Required ARDMS – Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography; must become registered by the ARDMS within 6 months of employment – Required Vascular Sonographers must become registered and/or RVT, RVS, RT(S), RT(VS) within 6 months of employment – Required (BR) ARDMS or ARRT – Breast Sonography (BS); breast licensure requirement for breast ultrasound can be met with registration through ARRT – Required RVT – Registered Vascular Technologist – Preferred RVS – Registered Vascular Sonographer – Preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr Piedmont HealthCare
