Registered Nurse - Emergency DepartmentLocation Walnut Creek, CAAssignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.Schedule 12-hour rotating shifts including evenings and nights with varied start times.Job Description The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. This role requires critical thinking skills and the ability to manage a wide range of patient conditions, including trauma, stroke, and other urgent medical situations.Responsibilities Assess, plan, and implement patient care in the emergency department. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care. Manage IV lines, administer medications, and perform EKGs. Provide support to patients and families, ensuring understanding of care plans. Conduct rapid assessments and triage emergency patients effectively.Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Current CA Registered Nurse License. ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required. A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the emergency department is essential. Experience with Epic documentation system is required.
