Paramedic Pre-Hospital Care | Per Diem Day Shift
When the Call Is Critical, Your Skills Matter. Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is seeking experienced Paramedics to join our Pre-Hospital Care team.
This is a role for paramedics who can assess patients in the field, make sound clinical decisions, provide advanced life support, and deliver safe, compassionate care when patients may be experiencing some of their most critical moments.
What You'll Do
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls and provide appropriate ALS/BLS care
- Assess patients, obtain clinical histories, and monitor vital signs
- Administer medications and IV therapy within paramedic scope of practice
- Interpret ECGs and cardiac monitoring and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Safely transport patients while maintaining continuity of care
- Complete accurate patient-care documentation
- Perform required ambulance, equipment, supply, and DOH readiness checks
Requirements
What We're Looking For Current New York State Paramedic certification Current REMAC certification Current BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications Current New York State driver's license held for at least one year Clean driving record Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations
