Tax Associate Requisition ID: View phone number on click.appcast.io Brand: GPM Investments, LLC Position Type: Full-Time Overview The Tax Associate position is responsible for handling sales tax related tasks. Pay Rate: $22-25/hr This is a hybrid position; candidates should be located near Wilmington, NC and able to work in the office approximately three days per week to support in-office responsibilities. Responsibilities Prepare excise and sales and use tax related forms as assigned Process and mail all required paper tax filings Record tax payments and other related activity in accounting system Complete manual online tax submissions Assist with compiling audit documentation as needed Communicate frequently with management team, field operations, Regulatory Agencies, vendors, suppliers and other necessary outside organizations in respect to assigned areas Qualifications Associate's degree (2-year) in Accounting or a related field, or a Bachelor's degree (4-year) in Accounting or a related field required. Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Proficient in the utilization of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and Outlook) Ability to multi-task and complete projects within specific deadlines Strong computer, presentation and organizational skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Detail oriented with excellent time management skills *This is not an exhaustive list of all job duties and requirements and may change based on business necessities.
