Blooming Hill Farm is looking for a Host / Maitre D' to join our restaurant team. We are located on Route 208 between Monroe and Washingtonville. This a part time position and our main need is on weekends (but some weeknights will be available). The position pays up to 25$ per hour.
Responsibilities
Answering the phones and booking reservations
Greeting customers and making them feel welcome in the restaurant
Seating guests at tables and brining menus
Estimating wait time for guests during busy hours
Clearing, setting tables & assisting serving when needed
Working directly with the dining room managers to help control the door of the restaurant and get all guests seated & tables turned over in a timely fashion
Qualifications
Friendly and outgoing personality such that you can greet guests entering the restaurant and manage seating them, or letting them know the wait time for tables effectively
Ability to listen and communicate well with other team members
Strong organizational skills and ability to use/learn a POS and reservation system
Familiarity with RESY or other online reservation systems is a big plus (but not required)!
Wage
Up to 25$/per hour based on experience.
Opportunity to move up to a tipped server position eventually and make more.
