About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: General Specialty Focused Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening Shift Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 2 years License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Experience with neuro/ENT and orthopedic surgeries - Proficiency in the use of navigation systems Description: This position requires a strong background in neuro and orthopedic surgery nursing. Experience with spine surgeries including laminectomies, ALIFs, fusions, and discectomies is necessary. Candidates should be familiar with cranial surgeries, including VP shunts and EVDs. Experience with ENT procedures such as neck dissections, sinus surgeries, and tympanoplasties is preferred. Proficiency in navigation systems, including Medtronic and Stryker, is required. Candidates with experience in general surgeries, including vascular, oncology, and laparoscopic, will be considered. Support on the unit includes charge nurses and supervisors. Charting systems used include EPIC, Alaris, and Pyxis. Cross-training to various surgical specialties is required. Willingness to provide on-call support with a 30-minute response time is essential. Candidates must be able to work varied days and shifts as needed. The facility provides surgical scrubs and allows the use of surgical bouffants. Free shuttle services to designated parking areas are available for team members. No call rooms are provided.
