Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Per Diem Opportunity

At Rock River Nursing & Rehab, we are dedicated to providing high-quality care to our patients and a dynamic work environment for our team members. We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our interdisciplinary team in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.

Responsibilities:

• Assist occupational therapists in the implementation of treatment plans for patients with varying needs and diagnoses

• Conduct occupational therapy treatments and interventions, including exercises, activities, and modalities as prescribed by the occupational therapist

• Educate patients and caregivers on proper techniques, safety precautions, and home programs to promote independence and prevent complications

• Participate in patient care conferences and contribute to the development of patient care plans

• Maintain accurate and thorough records of treatments, progress, and communication with patients and families

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and individualized care for each patient

Requirements:

• Possess a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification

• Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities

• Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients as needed
