Quality Control Inspector
We are seeking a Quality Inspector to support our manufacturing line. You'll perform detailed visual inspections and help maintain the highest product quality, efficiency, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect assemblies and sub-assemblies to ensure they meet requirements
- Read and interpret visual aids, instructions, and engineering changes
- Use inspection scopes (sometimes full-time) to check circuit boards and assemblies
- Label boards and fill out related process paperwork
- Enter results into the Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
- Investigate and report defects, suggest improvements, and escalate issues as needed
- Train others on quality procedures
- Maintain inspection records
- Always follow safety and environmental standards
Minimum Requirements
- At least 2 years of related experience or equivalent training
- Advanced reading, writing, and math skills (12th grade level)
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
Additional Requirements
- Must earn and keep IPC Specialist and company quality certifications
- Pass an annual precision test (gage R&R test)
Physical Requirements
- Sit or stand for long periods
- Walk, bend, lift, push carts, and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Good close vision; frequent use of computers and inspection tools
- Use of inspection scope is often required
- Must wear safety glasses and steel-toed shoes in designated areas
Work Environment
- Work on the manufacturing floor
- Moderate noise level
Pay: $19/HR Shift: Changes depending on area working Location: Auburn Hills, MI
