Join a company driven by quality products across an evolving range of industries.POSITION OVERVIEWPurchase goods, materials, and services the meet or exceed the expectations of the organization, considering price, quality, and delivery.WHAT YOU’LL DOPurchase goods, materials, and services that meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.Request and evaluate supplier quotations.Perform cost analysis on good purchased through should cost, competitive bid, and/or cost breakdown analysis.Generate purchase orders that comply with company requirements. Communicate and work to mitigate any supply problems which may impact our business operations.Act as the interface between suppliers and other departments at Gentex.Identify risks and drive solutions to mitigate risks and escalate when needed.Monitor market trends and drive favorable actions for Gentex.Develop and implement cost reductions to ensure favorable Purchase Price Variance (PPV) targets are achieved.Manage supplier relationships and insure two-way professional relationships exist.Monitor supplier performance and provide feedback.Identify and assess new suppliers that can meet the cost, quality, and delivery expectations for Gentex.Other duties as assigned.HOW YOU’LL DO ITKnowledge of purchasing systems and procedures.Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and influencing skills.Planning, negotiations, and contract management experience.Good technical knowledge of Purchasing and ERP systems.Able to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.Able to work well under pressure and handle emergency and stressful situations well.Manage and maintain required documentation.Develop strong supplier relationships.Maintaining a high level of honesty, integrity and confidentiality with respect to company matters.
