Inpatient Rehabilitation Physical Therapist

The Inpatient Rehabilitation Physical Therapist plays a crucial role in enhancing patient mobility and functionality through comprehensive care plans and rehabilitation strategies. Focused on patient safety and interdisciplinary collaboration, this role ensures a high standard of care and effective discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to identify and address barriers to discharge.
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatments based on patient needs.
• Document all patient care in compliance with policies and guidelines, including daily documentation and medical necessity letters.
• Provide supervision and education to students participating in the rehabilitation program.
• Engage in professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
• Participate in advocacy efforts and community health initiatives.
• Adhere to ethical standards as set by professional codes of conduct and state regulations.
• Contribute to organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification prior to the first shift.
• Valid State license for Physical Therapy.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting.
• Prior experience in inpatient rehabilitation is preferred.

Schedule

This position follows a Day 5x8 schedule.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
