Pay Range: $18.00hr - $25.00hr

The Phlebotomist III- Float represents the face of the organization to patients who come to the facility for health routines or insights into life-defining health decisions. The candidate draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. The successful candidate has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner. The candidate is responsible for providing coverage at multiple locations and must ensure that daily activities of the Patient Service Center, Mobile, Long Term Care, or In-Office Phlebotomy are completed accurately and on time. The candidate demonstrates leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence and sensitivity to confidentiality. The successful candidate may be assigned to work in a doctor’s office, a patient service center, a house call environment, or long-term care as business needs dictate. The candidate must be able to lead one or more staff members on-site and will be required to act as a coach, mentor, instructor, and resource advisor for new employees. The candidate will also act as a point of contact to staff on-site and provide regular input to the group lead or supervisor. The role may focus on working with customers who have high complexity or volume practices, requiring outstanding phlebotomy skills and a high level of customer-facing communication, problem-solving, and collaboration across multiple functions.

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Work Experience:

• Five years of phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Minimum 3 years in a Patient Service Center or In-Office Phlebotomy environment preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard and data entry experience.
