As a Medical Receptionist in a small team of 1-3 members, you will be the first point of contact for patients, managing frequent patient interactions and supporting smooth office operations. Reporting directly to the Office Manager, you will handle scheduling, verify insurance details, assist with billing, and provide excellent customer service using specialized EHR software such as Epic and Cerner.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient check-in and appointment scheduling activities
- Handle inbound phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately
- Verify patient insurance information to ensure accuracy
- Support billing processes and resolve related issues
- Deliver courteous and effective customer service to patients and visitors
- Utilize EHR software (Epic, Cerner) for daily administrative tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in medical administration
- High school diploma or equivalent
