High Point Residence Taylorville is seeking a dependable and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will prepare nutritious, flavorful meals that enhance the dining experience for our residents. You will work closely with the dietary team to ensure menus meet residents' dietary needs, preferences, and nutritional requirements while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness.

• Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and dietary requirements.
• Ensure food is prepared, served, and stored in accordance with all food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Collaborate with the dietary team to support menu planning and resident satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
• Monitor food quality, freshness, proper portioning, and presentation.
• Assist with inventory management, food storage, and supply organization.
• Support special events, holiday meals, and community functions as needed.
• Accommodate special dietary needs and preferences to promote resident well-being and satisfaction.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen sanitation practices.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow standardized recipes.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Previous cooking experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or food service.
• Experience with menu planning and inventory management.
• Experience working with seniors and accommodating special dietary needs.
• Flexibility to work every other weekend and holidays as needed.

• A passion for cooking and serving others.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in food presentation.
