Your Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing personalized care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in partnership with physicians or autonomously (based on your credentials)
• Providing education to patients and families on prevention, wellness, and chronic disease management
• Prescribing medications and treatments within your professional scope
• Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care management
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and seamless patient care
• Accurately documenting in electronic medical records (EMR)

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Required Credentials

• Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Alabama
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or comparable specialty certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain these within 90 days)
