Performance Marketing Strategy & Incentives Lead (Level II)
Location: South San Francisco, CA 94080 Pay rate: $70.00 - $76.70/hr Work schedule: Full-Time | Hybrid | 3 days in-office, 2 days remote. Anchor days are Tuesday and Wednesday, with one additional flexible in-office day. Overtime must comply with a maximum 40-hour work week.
Overview
The Performance Marketing Strategy & Incentives Lead advances performance marketing capabilities by supporting measurement, experimentation, optimization, and marketer enablement across the organization. Operating within the Digital Marketing Office (DMO), this position drives the ongoing operationalization and execution of a pilot Marketing Incentives initiative. This program reinforces performance marketing behaviors through measurable, behavior-linked recognition and rewards. The role balances data validation, experiment scoring, and cross-functional stakeholder governance to ensure scalable, audit-ready marketing operations.
Job Specifications
Key Responsibilities
- Incentive Evaluation & Scoring: Evaluate and score marketing experiment and optimization submissions against established criteria. Develop ranked shortlists and prepare leadership-ready recommendations for quarterly and annual incentive awards.
- Dashboard & Metrics Governance: Support the development, maintenance, and data refreshes for marketing incentives dashboards, experiment tracking repositories, and leadership reporting metrics across all brand teams.
- Marketer Enablement: Partner directly with brand marketers to strengthen experiment hypotheses, refine optimization opportunities, and clarify measurement/reporting standards. Operationalize experiment intake, scoring coordination, and evaluation workflows.
- Data Validation & QA: Manage recurring data ingestion, quality assurance (QA), and validation workflows across multiple marketing and measurement channels. Ensure submitted experiments meet defined statistical significance and qualification benchmarks.
- Operational Documentation: Maintain reporting playbooks, measurement definitions, process guidance, and governance artifacts to guarantee audit readiness and long-term program scalability.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner closely with Digital & Data Analytics (DDA), Marketing Operations, Finance, and Payroll teams to align on measurement methodologies, eligibility tracking, and continuous workflow improvements.
- Annual Awards Process: Support end-of-year academy-style recognition events, including case study intake management, finalist reporting, and leadership review preparation.
Must Have Skills / Requirements
- Performance Marketing Data Fluency: Direct experience handling marketing performance datasets, complex experimentation frameworks, and automated dashboard operations.
- Platform Ecosystem Familiarity: Functional understanding of major digital advertising and measurement ecosystems, including Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn, Adobe Analytics, and GA4.
- Analytics & Reporting Software: High proficiency with reporting and analytics tools such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, Power BI, or SQL.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to translate complex statistical or technical concepts into business-friendly language for cross-functional leaders.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Hands-on experience designing and running live marketing experiments (e.g., A/B testing, multivariate tests, or geo holdouts).
- Strong understanding of statistical significance concepts, data inclusion/exclusion logic, and attribution modeling.
- Functional familiarity with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) methodologies.
- Prior experience working within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or highly regulated corporate environment.
Education & Experience
- Experience: 5–10 years of experience (Level II classification) across performance marketing, marketing analytics, business operations, or a related data-driven field.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Analytics, Business, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Term: Long-Term Contract Assignment Assignment Duration: 07/01/2026 to 02/01/2028 Onboarding Note: Relocation assistance is not available. Positions are classified under "NON-PAYROLL" supplier models. Potential rehires require a minimum 6-month break in service if previous tenure limits were met, and must clear pre-screening review.
