About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its team. The CFO will serve as the primary financial advisor and strategic partner to the CEO, leading financial modeling, and feasibility analysis for new initiatives and partnerships. This role is pivotal in contributing to the organization's strategic planning, forecasting financial trajectories, and representing financial strategy to the Board of Directors. The CFO will also be responsible for financial management and oversight, including budgeting, monitoring financials, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. A key aspect of the position is to identify and implement opportunities for revenue growth, cost management, and sound capital planning. Candidates for the CFO position at the company must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of 10 years' progressive financial leadership experience, particularly in a nonprofit setting. A strong background in nonprofit finance, including federal grant compliance, Medicaid billing, and fund accounting, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing financial operations, overseeing an outsourced accounting relationship, and a thorough knowledge of GAAP as applied to nonprofit organizations. The CFO will also be expected to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. A CPA or MBA is preferred, and experience in a health and human services or early childhood nonprofit environment is a plus.
