Locums Cardiology near Asheville, North Carolina - Clinic And Inpatient Mix, Shared Call Rotation

This role blends outpatient clinic work with inpatient consults, creating a balanced cardiology practice with built-in continuity. The structure includes a defined weekly schedule and shared call responsibilities.

Highlights:

• Mix of outpatient clinic and inpatient consults
• Full-time schedule with shortened Fridays
• Shared call rotation with defined monthly structure
• Established cardiology team with specialty support

Practice & Cases:

• Community-based cardiology clinic with inpatient responsibilities
• General cardiology including stress tests, echocardiography, and nuclear reads
• Adult-only patient population
• Optional procedures such as TEE and cardioversion

Schedule:

• Monday through Thursday 8am to 5pm
• Friday 8am to 12pm
• Call rotation averaging 7 days per month
• Combination of weekday and weekend call blocks

Requirements:

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified in Cardiology
• Active North Carolina license required
• BLS and DEA required
