Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity is ideal for Special Education Teachers who thrive in hands-on educational settings, working with elementary and secondary students. Four positions are currently available, serving either resource or specialized (self-contained) programs at a single location.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification in Kansas
- Experience working with both elementary and secondary age groups is highly desirable
- Ability to address a variety of learning needs in resource or specialized classroom environments
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to students with special needs in either a resource or self-contained setting
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and challenges
- Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and related service providers to ensure student success
- Create a positive and structured classroom environment that promotes active learning and student well-being
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and parent conferences as required
