We value team building, and our staff oftimes engages in after work activities in order to build relationships and play an essential role in our community./ppJOB BRIEF/ppWe are seeking experienced professional ARRT Scrub Techs for our interventional radiology centers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Most work will be normal business hours. But sometimes weekend work will be required, based on when procedures are scheduled./ppAs a member of our team, we all provide a high level of efficient patient care, while always presenting a caring, ethical, and professional experience for the patients, doctors and other team members./ppPerform specialized imaging for endovascular peripheral intervention. Position requires an independent highly skilled operator capable of assisting surgeons during procedures and be well versed in utilizing portable c-arm units and their various functions. (Philips Veradius Unity) Minimum of 2 yrs experience with ACLS/BLS required within 14 days of employment./ppPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/pulliPrepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately./liliPrepares and administers contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations./liliObserves patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted./liliFollows radiation safety procedures and guidelines./liliEnsures all activities comply with regulatory agency standards as the facility RSO./liliWorks in a constant state of alertness and safe manner./liliSupply inventory tracking and management/liliEnsure mandatory clinical guidelines for keeping a high standard of care in our angio-suite involving proper disposal of contaminated products and proper sanitization of the operating suite./liliEMR knowledge (ECW) a plus./liliPerforms other duties as assigned./li/ulpEQUIPMENT USED/pulliPhilips Veradius Unity/liliStudycast PACS system/liliECW/liliIstat/liliMindray monitors/liliProcedural: Mynx Control, Angioseal, Auryon Laser, CSI, Abbott stents and balloons/li/ulpEDUCATION/ppARRT-R Radiography/ppCERTIFICATION/ppACLS/BLS within 14 days of employment/ppBASIC KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE/pulliMinimum of 2 years of experience in a physicians office or hospital setting/liliExperienced in diagnosis and treatment of common medical conditions/liliAbility to make independent decisions regarding patient care/liliBasic working knowledge of managed care and Medicare population/liliProcedural experience; preferably assisting Interventional Radiologists/liliSkilled in surgical techniques/liliExcellent communication skills/li/ulpPROFESSIONALISM/ppMust have strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work on multiple tasks and meet deadlines Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent communication skills Detail-oriented a must Ability to maintain strict confidentiality as required Be a team player Drive: Self-starter with initiative to assist in practice development, and to create motivation within the clinic team Collaboration: Ability to work within a team setting and leverage strengths of other to accomplish objectives Interpersonal skills: Approachable, able to establish rapport easily, demonstrates empathy and active listening skills/ppPHYSICAL DEMANDS:/ppThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
