Cyber Security Analyst - App Security & Vuln

Salary: $70,000 - 120,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree with 6 years of experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of experience in Information Security
• Deep understanding of security event log analytics and at least two technologies such as Firewalls, Web-Proxy, IDS/IPS, Anti-Malware, or Anti-Phishing
• Technical knowledge in at least three areas including Insider Threats, Malware Analysis, Exploit techniques, Regular Expressions, or SEIM Tuning
• Competency in two or more IT domains: operating systems, networking, programming, web development, or database administration
• Solid understanding of Internet Protocol Suite networking, including routing, switching, IPSec, and VPNs
• Experience with Packet Capture and analysis tools
• Working knowledge of risk management standards and system administration practices
• Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or Bash
• Familiarity with SAST, DAST, and SCA tools, plus web application security testing (OWASP Top 10, API security)
• Understanding of secure SDLC and DevSecOps practices
• Preferred certifications such as CEH, Security+, SSCP, or GIAC

• Monitor and evaluate security incidents, system alerts, and audit events to detect threats against our networks and systems
• Identify anomalies, malware infections, and intrusion attempts, and execute appropriate mitigation tactics
• Serve as an analytics resource for management and business units to support the design of new security products and procedures
• Maintain the operational status of all cyber security monitoring systems and ensure compliance with security standards
• Extract and interpret data from various operating systems and applications to proactively hunt for threats
• Document investigations and analysis results in comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Integrate security tools into CI/CD pipelines and assess risks associated with cloud and container environments
• Utilize AI/ML-based security tools for enhanced detection and assess risks related to AI models and data pipelines
• Apply threat modeling techniques like STRIDE during the development lifecycle
• Provide risk-based recommendations and communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical teams
