What You'll Do

As a Forklift Operator & Material Handler, you'll help keep warehouse operations running efficiently by safely moving inventory, loading and unloading shipments, and ensuring customer orders are accurately prepared and shipped.
Key Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts safely and efficiently to transport, stage, and load materials.
• Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks while following all safety procedures.
• Use iPads, handheld scanners, and warehouse management systems to track inventory and complete transactions.
• Pick, verify, and stage customer orders for shipment.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet customer requirements before shipment.
• Perform inventory counts, cycle counting, and inventory reconciliation activities.
• Maintain organized storage locations and accurate inventory records.
• Work closely with warehouse, logistics, and shipping teams to ensure on-time order completion.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with company safety standards.
• Follow all operational procedures, quality standards, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications
Required Skills

• Previous sit-down forklift experience.
• Experience loading and unloading trailers in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Comfortable using warehouse technology, including tablets, scanners, and inventory systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain active throughout the shift.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift certification.
• Shipping and receiving experience.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Inventory control and cycle count experience.
• Agriculture, grain, seed, fertilizer, food production, or manufacturing experience.
• Experience working in large-scale distribution or warehouse operations.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of FARMER CITY, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.40 - $24.40/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
