Interim Intake Mental Health Counselor The Interim Intake Mental Health Counselor, under the supervision of the Director of Intake and Chief Admissions Officer, is responsible for maintaining a safe therapeutic milieu in the intake waiting room. The role involves conducting safety checks, patient monitoring, de‑escalating acute situations, and providing supportive interactions with patients. Responsibilities Conduct safety checks and monitor patient status. De‑escalate acute situations. Provide supportive interactions with patients. Qualifications High school diploma. Proficient typing and computer skills; experience with Electronic Health Records. Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to develop a therapeutic relationship while maintaining professional boundaries. Previous experience in psychiatric or substance inpatient settings, restraint reduction, de‑escalation, and crisis intervention is preferred. Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision. 401(k) match.
