Hemodialysis Registered NurseWe are seeking a dedicated Hemodialysis RN to deliver exceptional, patient-centered chronic dialysis care within our long-term care facility. Working under the guidance of the Unit Medical Director, you will provide specialized bedside care, ensure strict adherence to state and federal standards, and build meaningful relationships with long-term residents.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical & Patient CareSafely initiate, monitor, and discontinue hemodialysis procedures; conduct thorough pre- and post-treatment clinical assessments.Perform vascular access care, administer medications, draw blood samples, and manage blood transfusions within your scope of practice.Execute strict isolation protocols, universal precautions, and safe patient-handling techniques.Develop individualized nursing care plans and provide ongoing clinical education to patients and their families.Promptly identify, intervene, and report acute medical or dialysis-related complications.Operations & Technical ManagementSafely operate, sanitize, and perform routine maintenance on hemodialysis machines and water treatment systems.Manage clinical inventory, order supplies, and maintain an organized, audit-ready clinical workspace.Identify and immediately report equipment malfunctions or technical anomalies.Multidisciplinary CollaborationCoordinate closely with physicians, medical directors, care coordinators, and facility staff.Assist with onboarding and training new clinical personnel; actively participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and team meetings.RequirementsActive RN license per state requirementsKnowledge of ESRD and hemodialysis proceduresCommitment to ongoing clinical education and professional developmentThe RN will be responsible for maintaining a working knowledge of all hemodialysis and related ancillary and emergency equipment utilized in the facility such as: reuse equipment, water treatment equipment, computer, hemodialysis machines, sphygmomanometer, conductivity meter, glucometers, scale, electronic thermometers, centrifuge, EKG machine, IV infusion pump, code cart, suction machine, oxygen administration equipment, and personal protective equipment.Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelors in nursing or health related field preferred.Approximately one year nursing experience.Current appropriate state licensure.Hemodialysis experience desirable.ICU/CCU experience preferred.Successful completion of training course in theory and practice of hemodialysis.Valid driver's license and insurance, when indicated/applicable for business travel by automobile.Computer knowledge desirable.Successful completion of current CPR Healthcare Recognition according to the American Heart Association.Possesses reliable transportation.
