About This Role The Medical Emergency Team (MET) Nurse at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital plays a proactive role in identifying and managing patients at risk for clinical deterioration outside of the ICU and Emergency Department. This position is ideal for nurses who excel in emergency response and collaboration with bedside staff. Highlights Location: Vero Beach, FL Facility: Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital Schedule: Per Diem, Night shift What You’ll Do Identify patients that require critical assessment and intervention. Implement action plans identified through analysis of data and case reviews. Serve as a CRRC member, enter cases into the quality data review tool, and present findings at CRRC meetings. Remain current with evidence-based practice and recommend adoption of standards. Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies. Provide education and training for nursing staff related to code response roles. Collaborate with nursing professional development to provide mock codes and simulation. Review patient lists and tools in the electronic medical record for high-risk patients. Round on all inpatient units to discuss patients being followed by MET. Respond to rapid response and code blue calls. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) required Experience: 3+ years of nursing practice in a complex critical care environment Licenses & Certifications: Current RN License in Florida, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required, National certification in critical care nursing preferred About Cleveland Clinic Cleveland Clinic is a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
