Power Equipment Service Manager

Position: Power Equipment Service Manager Location: Clarkston, MI Job Id: 469-1 # of Openings: 1 What You'll Be Doing Oversee all service department operations with full accountability for performance and results. Lead, coach, and develop a large team of service technicians and service coordinators. Manage hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations to support team growth and success. Provide guidance on equipment repairs and ensure all work meets established procedures and quality standards. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including service demand and productivity, and implement improvements as needed. Deliver excellent customer service by addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring a positive experience. Partner with leadership to forecast service needs and set performance goals aligned with business objectives. Promote and enforce safety standards and proper use of equipment and materials. Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment aligned with Weingartz values. What We'll Need from You 2+ years of management experience in the service industry, with direct reports and proven results. 3+ years of service and repair experience preferred. Outdoor Power Equipment industry experience is a plus. Experience managing large teams in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn ERP systems. Working knowledge of business fundamentals, including sales, marketing, and basic accounting/finance. Ability to perform basic math calculations such as discounts, commissions, and percentages.
