Registered Nurse – ICU (Level 3, Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient outcomes.
• Collect and report critical patient data and lab or diagnostic findings to the physician in a timely manner, documenting all physical assessment findings accurately.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on patient needs and hospital policy.
• Advocate for patients and their families while maintaining professional communication with patients, families, peers, and nursing management.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and exercise the utmost care during all patient interactions.
• Float to additional units as directed by management, including CCU and Emergency Department.

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU and Emergency Department experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS provider certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Current TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification.
• Current NIHSS certification and Moderate Sedation certification.
• Ability to work every other weekend.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Cardiac Catheterization procedures.
• Prior experience floating across multiple critical care or acute care units.
