About the Role: Dogma Dog Care in Smyrna, GA is looking for a passionate and dedicated Assistant Kennel Manager to join our team! Responsibilities: Assist the Kennel Manager in overseeing daily kennel operations and staff supervision Monitor the health, safety, and well-being of all dogs in our care Coordinate feeding schedules, medication administration, and exercise routines Train and mentor kennel staff on animal handling, facility protocols, and customer service Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kennel environment Communicate with pet owners regarding their dog's stay, behavior, and any concerns Assist with scheduling, boarding reservations, and facility inventory management Requirements: Previous experience in kennel management, veterinary care, or animal boarding Strong knowledge of dog behavior, breeds, and basic animal health care Leadership or supervisory experience in an animal care or hospitality setting Ability to handle dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments safely Excellent communication and customer service skills Physically able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in an active environment CPR/First Aid for pets certification is a plus About Us: Dogma Dog Care is Smyrna's trusted destination for premium dog boarding, daycare, and grooming services.
