Interventional Technologist I

Location: UCHealth UCHlth Highlands Ranch Hosp, US:CO:Highlands Ranch Department: HRH Cath Lab Position: Full Time, 1.0 FTE, Days shift. Pay: $37.35 - $52.29 per hour, dependent on experience. Summary: Performs imaging, diagnostic, and interventional procedures to diagnose and treat cardiac and/or vascular conditions in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and within the policies, values, and mission of the organization; and independent of supervision. Responsibilities Independently perform responsibilities of underlying job(s) and act as subject matter expert providing board certified level of care. Prepare patients for procedures within scope of practice. Assist physician with performing diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac and/or vascular interventional procedures. Perform, analyze imaging procedures and results; resolve image quality issues. Educate patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation. Assist with monitoring patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate. Prepare equipment and supplies; troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessary. Select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Demonstrate critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment. Requirements ARRT Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) or Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI) or registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) or registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS). Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 months of hire. BLS Healthcare Provider and any relevant life support certification appropriate for position level. Minimum education: High School diploma or GED or graduate of a certificate, license or degree granting program, or post‑secondary educational program in a health science or graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist ARRT (R) program or Cardiac Technologist program. Minimum 6 months experience with interventional procedures. BLS through American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer; BLS or CPR card must be valid for 60 days post hire.
