A strong fit for candidates who value teamwork, excellence in surgical outcomes, and a modern clinical setting.Position SummaryWe are now hiring a part-time surgical technologist to assist physician(s) and the nurse manager by preparing, maintaining and anticipating instrument and procedural needs for all surgical procedures in accordance to regulatory standards. Typical schedule for surgical technologist will be scheduled 2-3 days per week during Monday - Thursday (10 hour shifts). No weekends and no late evenings.Responsibilities• Obtaining supplies from other areas as needed• Returning supplies and equipment to the appropriate location• Assisting in keeping the central sterile area neat and orderly• Effecting handling health or safety hazards for self and patients• Reporting any unusual occurrences or incidents accurately to the clinical director• Performing other duties as requiredQualifications0-3 years of experienceMaintains current BCLS certification and completion of required annual in-servicesAbility to work in a surgery center environment with healthcare interactions that include patient contact, hazardous chemicals, and infectious disease under a moderate level of noiseMust be able to understand and follow instruction with speed and accuracyMust be able to organize and set priority for work to be donePossesses manual dexterity, mobility, visual acuity, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, attendance, and good interpersonal skillsCompany BenefitsEyeSouth Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
