Come be a part of our Small Animal Nursing Unit at Cornell University Hospital for Animals What you will do Providing nursing care to stable patients according to hospital protocols and clinician orders. Phlebotomy and intravenous and urinary catheter placement. Administer medication accurately at the correct dilution and rate and via the correct route. Monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia and following surgical or diagnostic procedures. Proper use of various monitoring equipment such as pulse oximetry, ECG, and non‑invasive blood pressure monitors. Advising, guiding and supporting DVM students throughout your shift. Continue to develop basic and advanced clinical skills. We are excited to find people with some or all of these skills that are excited to learn and grow. What are the qualifications? Associate degrees from an AVMA accredited institution, expected to obtain NYS licensure within 3 months; up to 1 year relevant experience or equivalent combination.
