SummaryTown & Country Early Learning Center is looking for Early Childhood Teachers/Assistant Teachers to join our team of educators working with children birth to 5 years old years old. Applicants must be interested in supporting our mission to provide a nurturing, educational, and secure environment for young children.Infant/Toddler teachers are responsible for the supervision of up to 8 children ages 6 weeks to 36 months. Teachers work with an assistant teacher.Preschool teachers are responsible for the supervision of up to 20 children ages 3 to 5 years.DutiesResponsibilities include:Using positive discipline techniques to support independence, self-regulation, and social skillsSupporting children in developing self-help skillsRecord keepingCommunicating with familiesMaintaining confidentialityMaintaining conduct and professionalismMaintaining a safe, learning environmentCreating a curriculum that supports children's growth and development in alignment with the CTELDSAssessing children's growth and development in alignment with the CTDOTSMaintaining required certifications - CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, Background checks, CT Charts-A-Course Registry, current statement of good health, Covid vaccinatedDemonstrating reliability and punctualityRequirementsTeachers must be at least 18 years old with at least 12 ECE creditsTeachers working in a NAEYC Accredited center must also have earned a BA/BS in ECE, Child Study, Child Development, or a related fieldEvidence of experience working with young children, preferably 3 referencesReliable transportationAbility to SMILE: Smile, Make others feel special, provide Information, Listen, Engage with childrenBenefitsEmployees working 35 - 40 hours/week are considered full time after completing a 90-day work test period.Full time employees are eligible for:Paid holidaysPaid time off401(k)Medical planEducation/Training opportunitiesDiscounted tuition for an enrolled childEmployee social eventsAll employees will have the benefit of a supportive work environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
