Headquartered in Austin, TX, DFS has a significant technology development and manufacturing presence worldwide, including facilities in Brazil, China, India, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States.Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop and debug source code which includes:Developing ASP.net web applications – HTML, CSS, JavaScript and C#Data driven Web Services for IIS and MS-SQLCreate and consume RESTful API calls as per requirementsDeveloping user friendly front-end web applications using AngularDevelop SSRS reports as per client requirementRequirements collection from internal, external clients and documentationDesign, document, development, optimize, performance tuning of custom applicationsUnit testing and debugging of applications in various stages of development life cycleWork collaboratively with peers in all the stages of development life cycleWrite, review and recommend optimization techniques for SQL queries and stored proceduresProduce documentation of code functionality and features consistently throughout development cycle.Participate proactively in requirements analysis and design reviewsPerform peer code reviews to discover issues and recommend changes that improve software qualityKeeping positive attitude and contributing to team effortPerform additional software development duties as requiredMentor Jr. Software engineersProduce quality software documentation:DesignUnit test plansParticipate in code reviews, assist in testing the developed software and provide support for field problemsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.Minimum 3 years' experience in software development with an emphasis on web applications development using – HTML, CSS, Java, JavaScript and C#Experience creating multi-threaded applications using C#,.NET Framework, and MS-SQLExperience with RESTful APIs, JSON, jQuery, AngularKnowledge of IIS and experience in creating and consuming web servicesExperience in creating Point of Sale or Shopping cart applications a major plusExperience in developing complex custom reports using SSRSExperience in developing RS232/USB drivers for various device components, a major plusExperience in MS-SQL, Entity framework, LINQ (SQL commands, Triggers, Stored Procedures) a plusTroubleshooting and problem solving of MS-SQL server and databases a plusMust have proven experience in a process-oriented development environment with excellent knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Proven track record of producing high-quality softwareExcellent troubleshooting skills and resolve software issues in a timely mannerGood organizational and inter-personnel communication skillsWork EnvironmentExcellent benefits package with health, dental, vision, disability & life insurance.
