When you work in our warehouses, you’ll play a vital part in helping people sleep well so they live well every day.**Job Details:****Essential Responsibilities*** Load and unload products from delivery trucks and vendor shipments.* Stage deliveries.* Store all products in designated locations.* Ensure inventory is dated and rotated per schedule.* Inspect products for defects and damages when receiving or shipping.* Obtain appropriate and authorized signatures on paperwork.* Assist in customer pickups, providing exceptional customer service.* Participate in inbound and outbound quality assurance processes.* Operate and maintain order pickers and warehouse equipment.* May operate other specialized equipment to move and distribute freight.* Maintain grounds by picking up papers and trash and cleaning the parking lot and entrance to the building.* Maintain stock and merchandise area, keeping it organized and clean.* Mop, sweep, and wash offices, bathrooms, warehouse floors, truck docks, and aisles to ensure cleanliness.* Remove trash daily by emptying trash containers, transporting materials to disposal areas, and recycling materials.* Clean and sanitize products per Company standard operating procedure.* Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to the due date.* Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe work environment for all.* Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts.* Follow all Company policies and execute Company standards on appearance and functionality as well as appropriate brand representation.* Communicate any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure proper efficiency of department and company operations.**Warehouse Environment****Physical Demands*** Lift or move +100 pounds* Sitting frequently* Standing frequently* Walking frequently* Talking frequently* Hearing frequently* Usage of hands and fingers* Reaching with hands and arms* Stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling occasionally* Sight is required to ensure the safety of yourself and others.**Non-Essential Responsibilities*** Execute company initiatives and other activities requested by the supervisor.* Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.* Contribute ideas on ways to optimize or improve the team, the department, and the Company.**Education*** High School diploma or equivalent **preferred****Professional Experience*** 1+ Years of general warehouse experience **preferred****Skills List*** Strong communication skills.* Ability to pay close attention to detail.* Ability to manage time efficiently to ensure completion of work.**Knowledge*** General warehouse operations* Knowledge of the equipment and function of Powered Industrial Trucks for product relocation and safety inspection**Benefits Included:*** Excellent career growth opportunities through on-the-job training and development programs* 401(k) with employer matching* Mental health and life resources* Medical, dental, prescription, and vision plans* Get paid on-demand* Base pay or uncapped commission* Employee discounts on Mattress Firm sleep products and accessories**Compensation:**Competitive Pay rate of $18.75 per hour \* depending on qualifications and experience.
