Join our crew as aHOUSE PIPER / PIPEFITTER!Q3 Contracting is looking for Pipe Fitters to join our team in our Little Canada, MN office! This position offers competitive pay and benefits and can be your next career move!!Responsibilities:Interact with customers via telephone to schedule meter installationInstall new residential gas meters according to utility and code requirementsSafely disconnect and remove old or damaged metersMaintain safe work zonesPerform gas appliance relights after meter installation or maintenanceIdentify and verify gas pressure and regulator type at residential servicesInspect existing piping and meter sts for safety, code compliance, and proper clearancesRebuild or modify meter sets as requiredPerform leak checks and ensure systems are safe before restoring gas serviceDocument work performed, photos, materials used, and field notes accurately in company systemsQualifications:High School diploma or equivalent.Basic knowledge of hand and power toolsMust possess a valid driver's license with no restrictionsWillingness to use basic mobile apps to help complete tasksWilling to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety regulations.Willing to work in a traffic control environment on all road typesAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, (as needed) for customer consultations or troubleshooting emergencies.Ability to communicate politely and clearly with customers during service visitsAbility to self-motivate and stay organizedAbility to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Work in heat, cold, wind, and rainBackground in plumbing and/or Heating preferredQ3 Contracting is a drug-free environment, and all candidates are subject to drug testing.Benefits:Highly competitive, union wages paid weekly.Outstanding, paid-on-the-job training.Union benefits offeringsAward winning safety programs.Growth Opportunities.Training period Compensation: $31.63/hr.Fully trained Compensation: $33.51/hr.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
