Job Summary EMCOR Government Services has an opening for an Electrician in McLean, Virginia. The Electrician performs general electrical maintenance and repair tasks, plus minor construction functions in a variety of highly skilled and medium-skilled electrical trades support work. The role includes operating, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, components, and parts. Daily electrical maintenance as well as IDIQ electrical work for small construction jobs are performed. This position is covered by the CBA for Local 26 and is scheduled Monday – Friday, 6 am – 2 pm. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Complete tasks in a workmanlike manner within estimated time and material budgets. Daily direction for these jobs is provided by the EOS. Perform preventive maintenance on all building electrical systems. Assist the Facility Manager and EOS in evaluating new jobs for scope and technical understanding. Repair and maintain building electrical equipment and fixtures as directed. Be available for emergency call‑back or required overtime as directed by the EOS. Assist Engineers and HVAC Mechanics in maintaining all mechanical and electrical systems in assigned properties. Respond to tenant maintenance requests. Assist in electrical preventive maintenance testing for all building electrical systems, including emergency power and UPS. Assist in keeping building common and electrical spaces neat, orderly, and safe. Carry out company policies and procedures. Qualifications High School diploma or GED required. Valid Master Electrical license in MD, DC, or Virginia. 3–5 years of experience in electrical support functions in office building and/or data center environments. Service truck experience is acceptable; 1 year of construction trades experience can be substituted. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Organized, detail‑oriented, able to learn quickly and prioritize work tasks. Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance. Physical Demands Must be able to move/lift heavy objects, climb vertical ladders, work at heights, and use common hand and power tools. Specific vision abilities required include color vision.
