Position: Asphalt Milling Machine Operator
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Asphalt Milling Machine Operator
- Will consider 3+ years of Dozer or Grader operating experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers
- Ability to sit for extended periods and to stoop, bend, or crouch as required to perform job duties
Responsibilities
- Operate an asphalt milling machine while maintaining proper depth of cut and cross slope per project specifications
- Follow all applicable safety procedures related to asphalt milling operations
- Read and follow plans to specification, maintaining an average depth of cut
- Operate milling equipment with automatic grade control systems , controlling transverse slope and longitudinal profile
- Make operational decisions based on verifiable standards
- Utilize string line to maintain proper alignment
- Meet production and quantity requirements
- Perform daily equipment maintenance to ensure safe and proper operation
- Notify supervisor of any equipment issues or repair needs
Experience
- Asphalt Milling Machine Operator: 1–3 years
- Will accept 3+ years of Dozer or Grader operating experience
License / Certification
- Valid Driver’s License ( Required )
- CDL ( Preferred, but not required )
Willingness to Travel
- Travel required ( approximately 25%)
- Travel pay provided
