This is a direct-hire, union position offering excellent pay, a consistent 4-day workweek, and the opportunity to support advanced automated production systems in a modern manufacturing environment. Position Overview The Maintenance Automation Technician will play a key role in maximizing equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and keeping production running at peak performance. This position is ideal for a hands-on technical professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex automation challenges, working with advanced controls, and supporting highly automated manufacturing equipment. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair automated manufacturing equipment Maintain PLC-controlled machinery and industrial control systems Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues Work with sensors, drives, servo motors, and automation components Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections Respond quickly to equipment failures and production interruptions Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to improve equipment performance Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a dependable, safety-minded technician with strong automation, electrical, and troubleshooting skills. This person can work independently, make sound technical decisions, and communicate effectively with production and maintenance team members.
