Position: Pharmacy Manager – (USA) – Leesburg, VA – Walmart. Position Summary – Provides comprehensive patient care to customers by processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders, administering immunizations and other programs developed by Walmart in compliance with Board of Pharmacy statutes and regulations. Drives sales and profit in the Pharmacy and OTC areas by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, inventory levels, budgeting and forecasting sales, and developing and maintaining cross‑functional relationships while assessing economic trends and demographics. Responsibilities Provides comprehensive patient care and counseling on new therapies and products. Drives pharmacy and OTC sales and profitability through effective merchandising and pricing. Models compliance and supervises Associates on customer service and regulatory procedures. Oversees community outreach programs and encourages Associates to serve the community. Ensures compliance with company policies, state/Federal regulations, and loss‑prevention controls. Provides supervision, training, mentoring, performance feedback, and recognition to Associates. Manages pharmacy operations, including product safety, HIPAA, SOPs, QA, inventories, and facility assessments. Conducts Associate meetings to address needs, concerns, and shared information on new initiatives. Oversees inventory flow, monitoring ordering and execution of inventory processes. Manages finances, interprets financial data, budgets, and monitors trends to align with business strategy. Creates a culture of patient care safety and accuracy, communicates expectations, and holds staff accountable. Promotes patient safety through counseling, error reporting, and root‑cause action plans. Executes compliance initiatives, training, and auditing to meet HIPAA, billing, and SOP requirements. Builds inclusive, high‑performing teams that embrace diversity and foster belonging. Attracts, retains, and develops talent, recognizing contributions and fostering growth. Maintains integrity, promotes ethical standards, and supports Walmart’s regenerative initiatives. Delivers results focused on customer satisfaction, data‑driven decisions, and continuous improvement. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD, or equivalent FPGEC (NABP). Pharmacy license (by job entry date). Completion of an ACPE‑accredited immunization training program (e.g., APhA, Pharmacy School Curriculum, State Pharmacy Association sponsored). Preferred Qualifications U.S. pharmacy related experience. Salary & Compensation Annual salary range: $112,000 – $197,000. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional pay considerations: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) based on location and Complex Structure based on external factors that create challenges.
