Key Personnel is seeking a Floating Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a respected healthcare organization in the Tulsa, OK area.

Floating LPN Pay: $25.00/hour

Floating LPN Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday (Hours may vary based on facility needs)

Floating LPN Summary:

The Floating Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care and nursing support across multiple departments or healthcare facilities as needed. This role is responsible for assisting with patient assessments, administering medications and treatments, documenting patient care, and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes. The ideal candidate is adaptable, compassionate, organized, and able to quickly integrate into various clinical environments while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and professionalism.

Floating LPN Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, and organizational policies.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic procedures safely and accurately.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, reporting changes promptly to the appropriate healthcare provider.
• Assist physicians, registered nurses, and interdisciplinary team members in developing and implementing individualized patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Float between assigned departments or healthcare facilities to provide staffing support based on patient care needs.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and patient education.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, infection prevention protocols, and all state and federal healthcare regulations.
• Support quality improvement initiatives while maintaining a safe and therapeutic patient care environment.
• Assist with clinical procedures and other nursing duties as assigned.

Floating LPN Qualifications:

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Oklahoma required.
• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Minimum of one (1) year of clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, assisted living, or outpatient healthcare environments preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different departments, patient populations, and clinical settings.
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Floating LPN Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience working as a float nurse or in multiple clinical settings.
• Supervisory or charge nurse experience is a plus.
• Experience with dementia care, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing preferred.
• Familiarity with medication administration, wound care, and patient education.
• Strong commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift throughout scheduled shifts.
• Ability to safely lift, reposition, or assist patients in accordance with facility guidelines.
• Frequent use of computers and EMR systems for documentation.
• Ability to work in various healthcare environments and adapt to changing assignments.
• May be required to work weekends, holidays, or varying shifts based on staffing needs.
